OUR FOUNDERS

EMERSON JONES

Emerson has been a life-long gardener. He taught high school biology and environmental science before starting a career in horticulture. Emerson worked at Hines Horticulture, becoming the Head Grower before joining Verde River Growers. There Emerson developed the plant propagation and bedding plant program.

EMERSON ANDREW JONES

Emerson is an engineer and scientist. He spent a decade developing and scaling new materials, taking them from early concepts to full production. He has long been drawn to desert plants like cacti and aloes. That interest led him to engineered soil amendments.

ERIC FINITZER

Eric has been an engineer for over 20 years. Eric's areas of expertise include manufacturing, quality controls, and automation. Eric also manages the complex logistics of supply chain and facility infrastructure.

CHIARA HUGHES

As a People and Operations leader, Chiara guides startups through rapid scaling. She champions workplace culture while utilizing predictive analytics and data to optimize business outcomes.
